The Gloucestershire Centre hold rallies most weekend in and around the
county amid spectacular views in the heart of the Cotswold hills and the
Forest of Dean.

Hi Everyone,
I begin my first year in office as your chairman with anticipation of the
future of this centre. It has been a difficult year for the officers &
committee with numbers falling, we think this may be due to the economic
climate which does not help. We are , however, trying to find new venues
and new ideas. Our Honorary Rally secretary John Medus is working flat
out to provide us with an assortment of rallies for next year incuding
Unity Farm at half term and Caen Locks at Easter, a holiday rally at
KIoningshof in Holland. We are trying this year to run some rallies for
perhaps 5 days ! (instead of two ) I hope this may be appealing to those
of us who have this sort of time and think it’s more worthwhile. I am
encouraged to see some new names on the provisional rally list ,
not many, but a good start. We must not forget the National rally at
Eastnor castle this year which is almost in our area and the national
follow- on at Cirencester Park. We also have a week at Fairford again
by very popular demand, a ten day rally at Netley and a five day one
at Welland steam fair.

My chairman’s rally this year will be held at the
Marling School which is close to the centre of Stroud .
I would like to remind everyone that anything you wish to know about
the centre can be found on our website, which is kept up to date with
your news and photographs.

This year is also the year of the Wessex and we really need to have a go??
Any volunteers will be welcomed. Anyone wishing to take part please
contact the Wessex reps Joan Lockyer & Stephanie King and Claire Medus
our sports officer. There are all sorts of different competitions that
everyone [and I mean everyone] can take part in.
I do hope everyone will support the centre and the new committee and
I hope together we all have an enjoyable and successful year.

Finally myself and Stephanie look forward to seeing you all and your families,
on the rally field in the near future . If anyone requires any assistance on
any rally please don’t hesitate to inform myself, a centre officer, or a rally
officer, we are here to help.

Paul.
